National Day of Nikola Tesla – Day of Science, Technology and Innovation, July 10. Nikola Tesla, one of the world’s greatest scientists and inventors of the 19th and 20th century, was born on 10 July 1856th in the village of Smiljan (Ličko-Senjska County)

Nikola Tesla: Why in News?
Nikola Tesla was the Serbian American scientist, inventor, who was also an engineer and a visionary. We all wouldn’t have known AC hadn’t it been for him.
Tesla is that the reason we get electricity in its form today.
Nikola Tesla: youth
Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in Smiljan, Austria. It isn modern-day Croatia.

He studied engineering and physics within the 1870s but received no degree. He gained practical experience within the early 1880s by working in Telephony and also at Continental Edison. He emigrated to the USA in 1884 where he was naturalised.
He had some ideas for wireless lighting and also making worldwide wireless electrical power distribution in his high-voltage, high-frequency power experiments. it had been in 1893, when he talked about the likelihood of wireless communication together with his devices.
Nikola Tesla: Famous Inventions
In 1882, Tesla came up with the thought for a brushless AC motor while he was on a walk. He made the primary sketches of its rotating electromagnets within the sand of the trail .
Nikola Tesla sold the patent of his system of AC dynamos, transformers and motors to Westinghouse within the USA.
In 1891 he developed the Tesla coil which is widely utilized in radio technology.
Tesla discovered Radio in 1897. He first sent a wireless transmission from his lab situated at Houston Street, New York, to a ship on the Hudson floating 25 miles away. He could have done it earlier but his lab caught fire.
He is credited with the invention of anything that involves these discoveries. He invented the primary wireless remote boat also . he’s credited with the creation of Neon lights, fluorescent lights, wireless bulbs lit from energy of earth and an AC power station that would harness hydroelectric power from Niagara Falls.
He is even said to possess a hand in creation of robotics.
Fun Fact:
At one point of your time , Tesla was certain that he had received signals from another planet in his Colorado laboratory. This claim was met with derision in some scientific journals.
Nikola Tesla and Edison Fallout
Tesla came to ny in 1884 where he was hired as an engineer at Thomas Edisons Manhattan Headquarters. He worked there for one year and impressed Edison together with his skills.
Edison told Tesla that he would pay him 50,000 dollars just in case he developed an improved design for DC Dynamos. Tesla presented an answer with a far better design to which Edison laughed off and said, “Tesla, you don’t understand our American humor.”
Tesla quit then and went on to open his own startup- Tesla light bulb Company. In 1887 and 1888 he was granted quite 30 patents for his inventions and invited to deal with the American Institute of Electrical Engineers on his work.
Nikola Tesla: Scandals, Death other details
In 1895, Tesla’s lab in ny was burned which destroyed years of his notes and equipment collection. He later was financed by JP Morgan and commenced to create a worldwide communications network that centered on an enormous tower at Wardenclyffe. it’s suspected that the USA stole Tesla’s experiments and notes as they thought he was helping the Germans during the planet War. This claim was never proved however.
His final years were spent during a hotel in ny where he was performing on new inventions. Another fact about Tesla is that he was hooked in to number 3 and washed his clothes fastidiously. He died on January 7, 1943 in his bedroom .
His belongings were inherited by Tesla’s nephew, Sava Kosanovich. These were later housed within the Tesla Museum in Belgrade. Thousands of individuals filed into ny City’s Cathedral of St. John the Divine for his funeral services. he’s one among the best loss of an excellent genius.
Quotes by Nikola Tesla
- The present is theirs; the future, for which I really worked, is mine.
- The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.

- Our virtues and our failings are inseparable, like force and matter. When they separate, man is no more.
- spread of civilisation may be likened to a fire; first, a feeble spark, next a flickering flame, then a mighty blaze, ever increasing in speed and power.

- The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane.
- I do not think you can name many great inventions that have been made by married men.
