Central Excise Day is celebrated annually on February 24 across India to encourage the Department of Goods staff to do a great job of goods throughout India in a better way to prevent corruption in the manufacturing industry and to implement other laws to make better goods services.
To mark the event various conferences, workshops, educational and cultural events, awareness programs, competitions, and awards ceremonies are organized across the country. Apart from that, awareness programs are also run by the relevant departments and senior officials.

About Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Central Excise Day
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs was formerly known as the Central Board of Excise and Customs. The Customs and Central Excise / Central GST Department was established to administer customary law. The department is now under the auspices of the Department of Finance, the Department of Finance responsible for the formulation of policies relating to taxation and Customs collection, Central Taxes, Central Goods & Services Tax, and IGST, to prevent trafficking and handling of Cultural Affairs, Central Excise, Central Goods & Services Tax, IGST, and Narcotic as far as CBIC is concerned.
The Board is the executive authority of its affiliates, including Custom Houses, (Central Exercise Day) Central Excise and Central GST Commissioners, and the Central Revenues Control Laboratory.
