Why do students need fitness classes now?
When youngsters are forced to be at home for such long periods, it can damage their health both physical and mental. Healthy and active bodies produce active minds
“As many schools have already initiated online/virtual classes for students, it is equally important to invest in their overall physical, emotional and mental well-being at home during this period,” stated the CBSE notification.
“Research shows that doing exercise influences the release and uptake of feel-good chemicals called endorphins in the brain. Even a short burst of 10 minutes physical activities positively increases mental alertness, energy and mood,” it said.
